SandDollar
L.I.P. service eMagazine.
1 November 2005
Issue number 79
Don't fear that which crosses
your path, I remind my self, for though
it may be unfamiliar, or, though it may first
appear as an obstacle, own the opportunity and grow with it.
Perfectly,
Tamara

Greatness comes with recognizing that your
potential is limited only by how you choose,
how you use your freedom, how resolute you
are, how persistent you are - in short, by
your attitude. And we are all free to choose
our attitude. ~

EXPERIENCE
Need
stimulates invention. Because I am blessed, and cursed,
with a very strong emotional orientation, it is imperative for
me to be centered in order to respond, rather than react, to
life. This is one inspiration behind SandDollar. As I designed
ways to encourage mindfulness and inner peace in my life, I
realized that others may benefit from the same. So, if you
intend to bring a sense of serenity to your daily habits,
consider grooming with SandDollar ... let peace become you.
OBSERVATION
ADVICE
Be responsible for your choices in dealing with the events in
your life.
TILT (This I Learned Today)
Google is looking to launch Google Print ~ an
online library of 15 million books. For works under
copyright, search terms would yield snippets from the book(s)
that matches the request. For public domain works, a
search would yield access to the full text. Almost 90
percent of the books Google might scan are out of print ~ thus,
the project would enhance our access to the past and give us
forgotten information. The Authors Guild is fighting this
effort for possible copyright infringement.
What do you think?
ANNIE: I'd gladly pay $3 per download of a book to
compensate the author! It's much like downloading
music.
GLORIA: The Google Print service would be
indispensable. What a wonder to have access to all the
out of print material. It is so hard to find it through
used sources! This would help keep it viable even if
"demand" is not optimal for publishing.
TAMARA: Rather than asking who wants out, why not ask
"who wants in?" I can't imagine an author or publishing
company denying such great exposure to an audience that
comes looking for the goods!
AND A COUPLE OTHER THINGS
What do you do to inspire peace in your
world? What do you perceive to prevent peace in
