EXPERIENCE

While waiting, I attempt to multitask - making the most of my time.  If I don't have reading material or a journal, I contemplate the environment...  And, I realized that while standing or sitting for a while, even if paging through a magazine, I can tighten my abs with this simple move...  Inhale.  While exhaling, tighten tummy muscles (abdominals) contracting tighter with release of air.  Hold for a moment.  Inhale, gradually releasing the tension.  Stay aware of breath and abdominal muscles through the exercise.  Breathe normally if starting to feel dizzy...  Tighter abs help take pressure off your back and help posture.  This probably won't get me a six-pack (unless I'm in line at the corner market waiting to purchase a half-dozen beverages).  Of course, we must always check with a doctor before starting any exercise program and we must exercise responsibly.  Otherwise, enjoy the wait while waisting time...

OBSERVATION

Fashion seems to be taking many turns through the 70's.  Lots of bell bottoms and hip huggers still strutting even though the runways showed the almost empire-waist trouser...  And, there are some novel twists like fuzzy slippers for shoes.  Of course, in California no one needs to dig out of snow.  Still, how would I explain the young woman in the Mall of America wearing leopard print fluffy slides and a down vest over her middle baring sweater and low-riders.  It's like staying in bed all day.  Nice idea.  Dream on.

Remember that when you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.
