EXPERIENCE

The Winter Solstice marked the shortest day of sunlight of the year and each day forward represents a step toward longer, lighter days.  The promise of the return of the light and warmth prompts celebration.  I enjoy learning more about festivities of the season and how this time is honored.  Visit Shambala Arts Fest to explore the traditions of northern latitudes and shed some light on where many of our customs are rooted.

OBSERVATION

Hard work pays off in the future, but laziness pays off now. 

ADVICE

No matter where you live, embrace and indulge your senses of the winter season:  Curl up in a blanket before a snapping fire;  Listen to the silence in a snow-covered park;  Inhale the crisp air and watch your breath dance from your L.I.P.^TM balm covered lips.
