EXPERIENCE

OBSERVATION

TILT (This I Learned Today)

Ponder this...  I recently read an excerpt of a talk by Bapak Pak Subuh about a heart of light.  He explained that it is common for a person to immediately feel upset when criticized or blamed.  Likened to the earth, upon which we leave a mark when we strike or tread upon it, the person's heart is wounded by what it encounters.  This is a heart that belongs to this world having lost its purity. 

Contrarily a heart of a patient person is like that of water.  When hit there is a ripple or even a wave, then it settles to being flat and calm. 

And, the heart of acceptance is compared to air for no matter what you do, the heart of air remains unaffected, and the attack returns to the attacker. 

Finally, the heart of radiance and light turns hate to love so that before one even throws a blow, one already feels "what is the point of attacking? for there is only love here."
