EXPERIENCE

I actually took the weekend off.  I let go of all responsibilities, deadlines, and duties.  As the minutes passed, I went with the flow of the days and found myself with my family having a picnic at the beach; sitting on the deck and having barbeque; muddy to my knees in my blossoming garden; sipping fresh squeezed lemonade with lemons from our tree; watching as the sun set.  And, today, I a truly refreshed.  A bit behind, but refreshed.

OBSERVATION

Personal calling cards are re-emerging as de rigueur.  I received a simple linen card with a blue edge that listed a name, a phone number, and "traveling" as inspired by Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's.  And, you can visit www.coco-pink.com for a selection of au currant styles.  What a great opportunity to hand out an inspiring message to new acquaintances...

Reflect, count your blessings, gravitate toward serenity and receive the vision of your new life.

TILT (This I Learned Today)

Dr Phil presents his latest book, Family First. And while he says it is for women (the heart of the family), I see broad appeal for the very poignant tips.  He suggests that to be effective, one needs to step off the daily merry-go-round and sit alone to meditate on what is important to you as a person (and a wife, a mother, etc.).  The questions posed are thought provoking: 

1. How do I measure my success as a parent (or person)?

2. What's the plan?

3. What did my parents teach me about parenting (or relationships, or family, or life)?

4. Am I at peace with myself?

5. Can I let go of guilt and do better?
