EXPERIENCE

Sometimes my life feels hypocritical to me.  While I aim to be the change I wish to see in the world, I am not always successful.  And, my tolerance level is not where I wish it were (somewhere around impervious).  Not that I wish to be numb, only that I would remain wise and unfettered in the midst of drama and in response to that which offends or hurts me.  So with that goal in mind, I press forward through what seems to me a mounting realization of betrayal and deceit.  How to find the perspective that is not so personal when experience plucks the heart strings... Hmmmm.

OBSERVATION

It is important that one take responsibility for one's words, actions and feelings.  If each one took responsibility for one's self, imagine the mutual respect for one another that would be realized.

A feeling is a full-body affair - you experience your feelings in both your body and in your thoughts.  When you are anxious or angry, you get tense and revved up - your jaw clenches, heart pounds or shoulders inch up. With sadness, everything slows down making you tired and lethargic.  So, it is important to address feelings physically as well as mentally.  Use stretching, yoga or tai chi to relieve anxiety or stress.  When you are sad, consider activities like a brisk walk or a swim to speed up your body. Get moving! Often it’s enough to lift you out of the dumps.
