OBSERVATION When we carry our burdens all the time, the burden becomes increasingly heavy, preventing us from going forward. If we set aside all burdens for a while and rest, when refreshed, we can pick up and carry on. Whatever burden you carry now, set it down for a moment. And then, after resting, ask your self whether you need pick it up, or if you may just let it lay. Then, follow your heart as appropriate, with new energy. |

TILT (This I Learned Today) Meditation is about tuning in to how you are thinking and feeling, and then reaching a state of calm. Ponder your breathing. Breath is the basis for relaxation in most meditative traditions so begin by focusing on your breathing - if it is shallow, you may be agitated, or if it is rapid, you may be angry. Respond to your feelings. Let your breath become deep and slow. Notice the sense of peace as you inhale fully, then exhale slowly. Let go of the stressful feelings. Focus on now. Encourage your mind to stay in the moment by concentrating on your breath. Inhale, exhale, be here now. Cultivate this. A few minutes of mindful breathing promises to bring a lot of awareness to your day. Consider taking five minutes each hour to breathe. Just breathe. |
